As someone who runs the Chihuahua Shop and who sells pet clothes for dogs as his livelihood, I'm in a position where I get to see a lot of dog clothes every day. I see people walking the streets every day with pet fashion for dogs and little, cute chihuahua clothes of all different sorts. 
What I'm seeing right now is a general movement in the pet clothing for dogs world toward the flashy, fashionable pet clothes, away from the more practical outfits you used to see in pet stores just flying off the shelves whenever there was a sale.
I'm seeing this trend not only on the streets, on the backs of both little AND big dogs down here, but in the Chihuahua Shop itself. People are buying the funky fashion dog clothes for their chihuahuas and are leaving the sweaters and the chihuahua jumpers for later on, when it really starts to cool off.
