Holy cow, this is insane: the St. Petersburg Times is reporting that a Florida man just shot his wife's chihuahua after he got frustrated with it after one too many bites and he'd had enough of it. As a chihuahua lover, I'm both pissed and mortified. Luckily for the chihuahua killer, he got away with a $5000 slap on the wrist. Unfortunately for little dogs, well... we live in a world were killing animals is largely a no-biggie, legally at least, and you can walk out of jail on the same day you've committed murder, if you've got the cash.
And that sucks.
